LEADERSHIP STYLE IN CROATIAN ORGANIZATIONS
Leadership is one of the most important issues in contemporary organizations, which have a strong impact to organizations’ performance and competitiveness. Goal of the paper is to present a critical overview of the theory defining three types of leadership styles: authoritarian, democratic and laisses-faire, and to investigate to what extent Croatian organizations implement these styles in their day-to-day running of the business. The survey has been conducted on the sample of Croatian organizations, using the standardized Leadership Style research instrument. Results of the survey are presented which indicate that Croatian managers use all three leadership styles.
