Non-adults burials from a Byzantine period cemetery in Trogir, Croatia
The study refers to bioarchaeological analysis of the material from a Trogir cemetery with at least seven graves including mostly well- preserved skeletal remains of seven non-adult individuals. Two nicely preserved silver-plated bronze earrings from the 9th century found as grave goods in grave 4 indicate a 9th c. dating of the cemetery. The graves were uncovered during excavations conducted in February 2018 by the Austrian Archaeological Institute/Austrian Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Museum Trogir and the Institute of Archaeology in Zagreb in the basement of a historic residential building in the city centre of Trogir located on the central coast of Dalmatia.
