Sažetak
On scrapyard, outside of building, scrap shear with parallel knifes were used to cut large pieces of scrap metal on requested size to fill electric arc furnace. Because of several blades damages and failures, Fig 1, two different steels for blades have been analyzed to increase service life of blades and knifes at low temperature conditions. Research was carried out on tool steel X45NiCrMo4 and tool steel X210Cr12 according to German standard DIN.
