Hydroxyapatite film modified glassy carbon electrode for detection of cysteine
Hydroxyapatite (HAp) modified glassy carbon (HAp/GC) electrode was prepared by two-step reaction: hydrogenphosphate formed by electrodeposition at constant potential was converted into HAp film via an acid-base reaction. The electrochemical behaviour and possibility of electroanalytical determination of cysteine (CyS) on the HAp/GC electrode was studied using cyclic voltammetry and square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. The HAp/GC electrode show great enhancement in determination of cysteine, owning to high absorbability of HAp film and electroanalytical properties of GC. The properties, such as absorbability, of optimized HAp film were studied by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Also, optimized procedure and analytical applicability of HAP/GC electrode are presented. A linear response between 0.5 μmol dm–3 and 10 μmol dm–3 were obtained.
