Kinetics and mechanism of the acid kaolin leaching process
The paper presents the results of the experimental investigation of kinetics and mechanism of the acid kaolin leaching process by means of mineral acids: sulphuric, nitric and hydrochloric. It was found that when using sulphuric and nitric acid a change of the reaction mechanism at a certain degree of the reaction course takes place, whereas with hydrochloric acid this does not happen. For all the cases the values of the kinetic parameters, activating energy and preexponential parameter, have been determined, which enabled to define the dependence of the rate constant upon temperature and the dependence of the reaction course stage upon time and temperature.
