Sažetak
This paper presents the geometrically nonlinear analysis of cable structures which are subjected to self-weight and external loads. Isogeometric approach is briefly summarized using updated Lagrangian formulation associated with isoparametric B-spline polynomials and Newton-Raphson iterative scheme with incremental load. The accuracy and reliability of the presented study are verified by comparing the predictions with those generated by well documented cable structures. The agreement between the proposed method and published results is excellent.
