Talking about retail industry, we are talking about profit orientated industry. But in modern economy and modern business there are some questions connected with profit orientated business and companies. Should company by doing own business only think on profit, or nowadays should also think on some other aspects of companies internal and external environment. Many authors agreed that in modern economy companies should pay attention on different elements of internal and external environment. In that case we are talking about corporate social responsibility (CSR) application in business. In this chapter on one side it will be disscused what is a position and role of CSR in modern retailing. On the other side it will be explaind what are social supermarkets, what is their position within retail supply chain and what kind of impact has CSR within retail industry on running social supermarkets.
