Transient statistical analysis of the horizontal electrode using stochastic collocation technique
The paper deals with the analysis of various random stochastic variables that have significant influence on the transient characteristics of the horizontal grounding electrode. Deterministic model of the grounding electrode is based on the antenna theory and corresponding Pocklington integro-differential equations in both frequency and time domain. The Pocklington equations are solved using previously developed analytical techniques, thus obtaining induced current and transient impedance. Stochastic collocation analysis is applied by taking into account various random parameters and performing subsequent analysis of their respective impact on the induced current and transient impedance.
