Field Tests of the Bearing Capacity of Spatial Anchors
Field tests werw performed for several representative anchoring depth/anchor diameter ratios. In this paper an interaction mechanism anchor-soil is described for the case of shallow anchors installed into the soil under the impact of vertical pulling force. The pulling forces were gradually increased and the ground surface displacements were measured in two profiles one perpendicular to the other. The Finite Elements Method (FEM)performed the pulling force computation for tested caases. The case was treated as an axial-symmetrical problem. The interdependences between displacements and pulling forces obtained by field tests and numerical computations were statistically analysed. Due to expressive convergence of pulling forces towards limit value, the exponential function was adopted as approximation curve.
