Religious changes in Croatia from 1989-1999
A post-communism, a transition, the war and the post-war situation are the most general framework for religious changes in Croatia. A different social changes have influenced both the individual religiosity and position and the role of the Catholic church in the society. An analysis of the comparative data from two empirical researches (on representative national samples) in 1989, 1996 and 1999 have shown a large increase of personal religious identification and religious practice. A different socio-political, traditional-cultural and religious aspects and influences of that increase are discussed, together with the insights in some personal attitudes toward a different social and religious values.
