BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF THERMALLY LOADED FG BOX BEAMS
This paper presents the buckling analysis of thin-walled functionally graded (FG) box beams exposed to thermal loading. Material properties of the beam are assumed to be graded across the wall thickness. Several examples are presented considering the effects of power-law index and boundary conditions on the critical buckling temperature. The critical buckling temperature of FG box beams with different value of power law index p for different types of boundary conditions, clamped-clamped (CC), clamped- simply supported (CS) and simply supported (SS) are given. Two different types of beam wall were considered, the FG wall and FG sandwich wall. The non-linear stability analysis is performed in order to obtain the thermal load vs displacement curves.
