ATTITUDES OF STUDENTS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF RESPECTING INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES AMONG CHILDREN

Educators and teachers, as well as everyone else who is in any way in contact with children, should be familiar with the basic methods of successful learning and teaching and use them in their educational activity to the fullest extent possible. One such method is "Let Me Learn Process", which is an advanced learning system that enables students to articulate who they are as students and to lead teachers towards the development of the learning environment which is essential for students to engage their personal learning strategies. It is of great importance for students and with special needs who should acquire course contents and make progress according to their abilities. This paper presents the results of the research that aimed to examine the attitudes of the students of teachers’ and preschool education studies toward the importance of respecting individual differences among children in the process of learning and teaching. The study was conducted on a sample of 427 students. The research results indicated that the students of preschool education believe that the use of sequentiality is the most appropriate learning method, unlike the students of primary school education, who put confluence first. It was also found that a vast majority of the survey participants pointed out that, in the process of learning and teaching, individual differences among children must be taken into account.
