Batch dyeing of 3D printed acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene with disperse dyestuff

This paper’s research presents the possibility of batch dyeing three-dimensional printed acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene (ABS) with disperse dyestuff. The aim of this investigation is achieving a wide range of hues and colour effects for 3D ABS materials. The 3D process encompasses a wide range of applications, primarily because of the large number of available materials for the production of products. ABS was selected because of its good balance of properties, toughness/strength/temperature resistance, coupled with its ease of moulding and a high quality surface finish. The applied method has provided very good results according to the CIELab colour parameters range, and rubbing fastness.
