The paper deals with the highest administrative officials in the Provincial Government in Croatia- Slavonia in the period after reaching Croatian- Hungarian Compromise and formation of the Provincial Government in 1869 until dissolution of Austro-Hungarian Monarchy in 1918. Initially, there were three the highest officials in the Provincial Government: the head of Department of Internal Administration, the head of Department of Education and Religion and the head of Department of judiciary. All of them directly subordinated to the Croatian-Slavonian Ban, who was the only politician in the Government. In the paper, we analyze process of recruitment of these officials in the Provincial Government. Also, we analyze duration of service of concrete high administrative officials and correlate duration of their service with duration of mandate of particular Bans.
