Richter Collecton: Converting Family House Into a House of Art
The idea of converting family home into a memorial collection with a sculpture park was based on V. Richter’s project, but being so modest, the author himself could not notice that the content he offered exceeded the house’s space potential. Considering the current state of the house, we can easily say that it is a collision of art and living standards of the time when it emerged. At the same time, maybe this increases the value of Richter’s creativity partly shown by the exhibits displayed throughout the collection. The question is therefore raised whether such a house that exudes authenticity, despite its flaws and improvisations, should be frozen in time and space, or we can say that V. Richter was an artist who deserves a worthy presentation of his life and work. The latter would presume some interventions throughout the space and technological improvements to modernize the collection, and yet maintain some memory of the place. Family house would thus become a house of art in the context of the sculpture park as one of its compositions.
