Professional liability in crisis situations.
Professional liability in crisis situation is often not addressed when it comes to discussion on (health) response to crisis situations. Crisis situations demand integrated incident management responses with good decision tools not only on the part of health care platform, but also on part of humanitarian actions and other included parties (fire departments, civil volunteers etc.) that will provide a good resource management, community education and information, and especially legal requirements for providers liability protection. Ethical questions and dilemmas associated with or rising from disasters/crisis situations and their management are numerous, and also more difficult when international assistance is involved. Comprehensive approach that will include ones responsibility, liability and professional ethical approach is needed in order to make professionals involved in crisis situations more flexible and enable them to concentrate on what they are doing instead of what they are supposed not to do.
