Republika Kina nova svjetska gospodarska velesila

Contemporary Chinese economic and financial development is characterised by specific economic and political system that has not yet appeared in the international economy, and attempts to implement socialist and capitalist schools of philosophy. In order to understand the political and economic activities of Chinese officials, it should be taken into account that China is a specific country with 1, 314, 480, 000 inhabitants, which makes about 20 per cent of the population of the planet, a conglomerate of different religions and nations at different levels of development. China does not have the raw material and energy resources that would be sufficient for a prosperous life of its citizens, and in earlier times, when great natural catastrophes struck, millions of people starved to death. China’s transition to the capitalist system, with economic growth and living standard of the population expressed in mere per thousands, caused economic disruptions of planetary proportions. This was particularly reflected in the shortage of food, oil and other energy sources, ores, and raw materials on the world market. Chinese economic growth has sucked in all the resources that have been launched in the international market, which by the law of supply and demand disturbs stock-exchange operations, generates a constant shortage of all economic resources, and drives up their prices. The phenomenon of permanent Chinese economic growth is a result of the new economic system implemented in China that has in twenty years developed this underdeveloped country into one of the four major world economies. In 2014, China recorded a record trade balance in the world with 4, 160 billion USD, of which more than a half was exports in the amount of 2, 210 billion USD. In the same year, the US trade dropped to the second place with 3, 560 billion, while US imports from China amounted to 368, 4 billion USD. China has for a long time been achieving high growth rates, and has gradually become one of the leading economic powers of the world. As the spheres of influence are divided, it seeks to expand its influence on underdeveloped countries.
