The Paths of Argonauts - the Western Border of Basarabi Complex
The Danubian region in the southern Carpathian Basin was a crossroads between the Balkans and the Middle Danube, and between the southeastern Alpine sphere and the Lower Danube. The particularity of Basarabi ceramics in the west is easily noticed because of the specific stlyeand the varied shapes and quality of ceramic vessels. Recent research in the Danube area complements the currents knowledge on the production and distribution of these items, which were prestigious in the societies of the west.
