The concept of measuring resource utilization indicators and stakeholder cooperation at the level of a tourist destination

Starting from an established mission and set goals, tourism has to build a strategy of sustainable development at a destination level with the aim of achieving competitiveness at the global tourism market. Financial strategies that have up to now been oriented towards realising high profit rates cannot be realised without the necessary cooperation of all stakeholders at the destination level, without the development and placement of an integrated tourism product and the adaptation of autochthonous products, and additionally, if the profit is not followed by the appropriate sustainable development marketing strategy. Based on the stated it can be concluded that it is necessary to monitor the indicators at the level of a sustainable tourist destination that refer to the utilization of destination resources, marketing, financial and other indicators as a basis for defining a clear destination strategy and are the key document in order to achieve cooperation among stakeholders. In other words, for the realization of the mission, vision and basic goals at a sustainable destination, the concept of resource utilization indicators is of crucial importance. The success in achieving goals and implementing sustainable development strategy as the means of their realization it is necessary to measure and monitor based on: qualitative and quantitative, partial and aggregate financial and non- financial measurements. The selected indicator measurements of resource utilization at a sustainable tourist destination represent the system of measuring and monitoring of the concept of sustainability and are the basis for achieving cooperation between the stakeholders at the level of a sustainable tourist destination.
