Sažetak
Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, University of Split (FCEAG) is recognized as important research and educational institution in region. The experimental research is among primary activities at FCEAG both as scientific and educational practice. Although, having modest classical laboratory equipment, FCEAG laboratories deploy advanced experimental research in area of civil engineering using custom made experimental setups. FCEAG covers three very different but compatible science fields, hence multidisciplinarily approach is naturally achieved. That approach is further enhanced by cooperation with other technical faculties in Croatia and foreign universities, along with various industry entities. Researchers usually build laboratory setups by themselves, which is laborious process but often fruitful for the research. This work presents current structure of FCEAG laboratories. Current research conducted in laboratory units is presented within the short description. At the end, paper presents a short summary of upcoming infrastructure project co-funded by European Union with purpose to improve experimental capabilities of existing FCEAG laboratories and plans for developing new ones in compliance with the Croatian “Smart Specialization Strategy”.
