Corporate Governance, the Human Nature and the Values
This chapter analyses the axiological antecedents of the cyber culture and the digital economy, so that it draws an attention on a relevance of the works by Machiavelli, Hobbes, Smith and Millgram for a contemporary reception of a political role of the corporation in the global community, what has implications for a desirable choice of corporate governnace model. In distinction of the authors who are focused primarily on egoism as inherently human feature (Dion, 2016), a subject of analysis in this chapter is a role of context which nourishes and supports the egoism.
