In the name of the people: Courts for the protection of people's honour of Croats and Serbs in Croatia(1945)
This article presents a brief period during 1945 when the people’s honour of Croats and Serbs in Croatia became a matter of legal regulation. The main task of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia/Croatia was to create a universal political-administrative apparatus, with its jurisdiction and secret service. It was therefore of crucial importance to establish a normative legal framework that would serve this purpose. In case of political, ideological, cultural, artistic, economic, or administrative collaboration with the occupier, that is, the activity of “internal traitors”, the instance in charge were the Courts for the Protection of People’s Honour of Croats and Serbs.
