Alcoholism in identical twins

Multifactorialities play a major role in the etiology of alcoholism. Psychological factors and social environments have an impact on the development of excessive drinking, but neither biological effects nor genetic potential can be ignored. There are a number of studies that talk about the association and influence of genetic factors and the social environment, and some of them have also shown the possibility of genetic component serving for excessive drinking and consequent alcohol dependence. This article shows the existence of alcohol dependence in conjugal twins with family heredity.
