Standing at the Crossroads: History of Croats from Early Middle Ages to the End of the First World War

This chapter gives a short overview of Croatian history from the early middle ages to the First World War. Instead the presentation of extensive 1300 years of Croatian history, the main goal of this text is to, on the basis of the latest historiographical research, pinpoint and elaborate some crucial topics that characterize the past of the people living between the Eastern Adriatic Coast and the river Drava from the early medieval till modern times.
