Circular Economy from the Energy Point of View
Benefits arising from the use of energy from waste in the “closing the loop” concept are evaluated in this paper. This is done by analysing the degree to which energy generated from waste can satisfy waste management and recovery systems energy needs. Integration of produced energy from waste in integrated waste management system analysis lead to incensement in the sustainability of secondary material production which can be seen through reduced embodied energy (EE) of recycled materials. These analyses are done through the material and energy flow, system energy consumption coverage and primary energy (PE) flow tracking and also through tracking changes in Embodied Energy of produced materials.
