Filling the void: the case for international economic criminal law
It will be argued, that responses to globalization are having a significant effect on international law and institutions, in order to protect economic and social human rights, the human security and human dignity. Sometimes national states are not able and/or unwilling to prosecute serious and systemic economic crimes which in turn undermines individual and collective security. The same could be stated for international criminal law. By ignoring this crimes and violations – unlike what does the international human rights law, supranational criminology and transitional justice - the core international criminal law no longer responds to the needs of societies and individuals.
