The role of CYP2D6, CYP3A4/5, and ABCB1 polymorphisms in patients using long-acting injectable risperidone

A study of the serum concentration of the active substance of long-acting risperidone was compared to CYP2D6, CYP3A5 and ABCB1 genotypes. Slow metabolizers of CYP2D6 had elevated and ultra fast metabolizers of CYP2D6 reduced concentrations of the active substance. Other genotypes had no effect on the concentration of risperidone + 9-OH risperidone.
