Investigation an overdetermined system of linear equations

This presentation demonstrates the application of convex functionals in solving of an overdetermined system of linear equations. The problems are considered by using convex functionals generated by p-norms, where p is a real number greater than or equal to 1. Relaying on the convex properties, we examine the minimization properties involving regression, scale and affine equivariant properties. The problem of finding data weighted mean and median is illustrated as an example of the application of overdetermined system and convex functionals.
