The Opportunities, Challenges and Obstacles of Becoming an Information Society
Information Society should be better at satisfying needs of individuals while doing the same for the community as a whole, than have been societies until now.. The opportunities lie in flattening organizations and replacing them with project teams and communities. In order to fully utilize them, the highest priority should be assigned to education and rising awareness of individuals about themselves, their role in the society and society as a whole. The problem lies in our current fundamental values of material wealth and hostile competition which need to be overcome by importance of knowledge and doing, as well as cooperation.
