Overview of grid connected converter synchronization techniques under different grid voltage conditions

Following the recent trend in the development of the renewable Energy market, complemented with future and emerging Technologies, the leading role of grid connected converter is well established. In the future Energy market, as an interconnecting element, it will serve to secure reliable power supply with extraordinary power quality characteristics. This paper will aim at presenting the basic synchronization techniques for the grid connected converter currently proposed by the literature. Special attention will bi given to the operation of the grid connected converter under different grid voltage conditions, including rated and operation under balanced and unbalanced grid faults.
