The process of globalisation and the role of direct investment for Croatian tourism

Globalization process has become a part of all segments of human activities. State borders no longer present frames of economic entities. International marketing finds implementation of its tools in the world economic trends. Globalization process is charaterized with growth and power of TNC's which are becoming "states of their own". FDI and portofolio investments are the most complex strategies for penetration on international markets. Investor's impact on recipient's country could be very significant. FDI enables know-how, fresh capital and possibility to be a part of international economy trends. Investments in Croatia economy and especially tourism are one of the strategies that Croatia should serously consider in its development plan.
