Sažetak
This paper describes the procedure for measurement of the rotational core losses in electrical machines with an experimental setup made from a modified induction machine stator that is turned into round rotational single sheet tester. The differences between the similar apparatus and the problems caused by the specimen shapes and power supply harmonics are presented. For the verification of measurements, a simulation of rotational magnetic field distribution inside the silicon steel sheet specimen and the calculation of measurement signals is completed with FEM software. Furthermore, the measurement percentage error caused by axial magnetic flux produced mainly from the winding heads is reduced by improving base design using magnetic shields around the specimen sheet.
