Durability of fibre reinforced concrete floors
The aim of the study presented in this paper is to determine influence of the amount and type of sorted and unsorted recycled tyre steel fibres (RTSF) on durability properties of the hybrid fibre reinforced concrete mixes. Experimental program consisted from seven mixes: plain concrete and FRC with 30 kg per m3 of manufactured fibres as reference mixes and five hybrid fibre reinforced concrete made with RTSF (sorted and unsorted). Obtained results showed that FRC with both sorted and unsorted RTSF has an equivalent durability properties as FRC with manufactured fibres. But at the same time, significant reduction of wear by abrasion is detected with increasing the content of RTSF resulted with decrease of mass loss from 13- 30 % compared to the reference mix with manufactured fibres.
