Sažetak
Structural and electrical properties of mixed ion-polaron glasses of the composition (30- 0.5x)Li2O-(30-0.5x)ZnO-40P2O5-xTMO (0≤x≤60 mol% ; TMO = WO3, MoO3) were investigated. A transition of electrical conduction from ionic to mixed electronic-ionic is a promising feature for application in integrated batteries either as electrodes or electrolytes. Electrical properties were measured by impedance spectroscopy, structure was investigated using Raman spectroscopy, while EPR and SQUID methods were utilized to determine the fraction of W5+ and Mo5+ ions. Raman spectra of Li-W glasses show the clustering of WO6 units by the formation of W- O-W bonds in glasses containing high WO3 content while the coexistence of MoO4 and MoO6 units is evidenced in Li-Mo glasses with no clustering of MoO6 octahedra. DC conductivity of WO3 glasses exhibits a transition from ionic to polaronic conduction showing a minimum at about 20-30 mol% of WO3 as a result of ion- polaron interaction followed by a sharp increase as WO3 content increases. For Li-Mo glasses, DC conductivity is almost constant suggesting a coexistence of independent ionic and polaronic transport pathways in compositional region between 10-50 mol% of MoO3.
