The integration of immigrants is confronted with different cultural identities, sometimes made impenetrable by the economic and political interests of the inhabitants. Political parties, especially populists, tend to exaggerate differences for electoral purposes. On the other hand, Western economies need immigrant labor and its social fund contributions.
