Improvement of the Roller Brake Tester Calibration Process

Successful application of the Lean concept presents a longstanding initiative that provides a number of improvements of the existing processes within the production industry. Recent researches do not present the Lean method application as a novelty in other sectors, especially in the service sector. This paper presents a case study of Lean application on a real example of the roller brake tester calibration process, taking into consideration the literature review. Using Value Stream Analysis and Process Mapping provides an outstanding possibility to perform waste and time analysis. The results as shown in research and the arising conclusions could make a contribution regarding Lean application within various processes and provide a possibility for further research regarding the formatting of a conceptual model that is relevant for Lean application in the service and other industry framework.
