Sažetak
Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is collective term that embraces a number of clinical problems, and is the most prevalent clinical entity afflicting the masticatory apparatus. TMD pain screener should be performed before any dental / orthodontic intevention. Dysfunctional patients have a lower adaptive capability to occlusal changes because they seem to be more vigilant on their occlusion and are easily disturbed by occlusal instability. Therefore, occlusal and ⁄ or orthodontic treatment has to be performed according to the rules that allow an ‘ideal and stable’ result to be achieved.
