Men in the Preschool Teachers' Profession – Motives and Experiences an the Beginning of their Professional Development
One of the strategic objectives of early childhood education and care is increasing the number of men in the profession of preschool teachers. Male preschool teachers' motives to enter this profession and their first experience within the profession are important for understanding the initial stages of their professional development, and can help to increase the number of men in early childhood education and care. What are the experiences of male preschool teachers working with children and what are their reasons for choosing this profession are the basic research questions in this work. Their motives are mainly related to prior personal experience and the specifics of the profession. After entering the profession, male preschool teachers share positive and negative experiences.
