Proceedings of the Symposium on Smart Environment Technologies (SoftCOM 2016)

Symposium on Smart Environment Technologies was held in the frame of the 24th International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks (SoftCOM 2016) in attractive ambience of the Radisson Blu Resort hotel, Split, September 22-24, 2016. The Conference was organized by the University of Split, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. The Conference has been technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc). SoftCOM gathers researchers and experts from industry, research institutes and universities from all over the world. The technical conference program featured seven general conference sessions, three symposia, and four special sessions. Symposium on Smart Environment Technologies was organized by the University of Split, FESB. In total, ten papers were accepted for publication and presented at the Conference. The main goal of this Symposium was to present and discuss recent advances in technologies, architectures, algorithms and protocols for smart environments with emphasis on real smart environment applications.
