New national and regional bryophyte records, 31
Calypogeia sphagnicola, a liverwort of the Calypogeiaceae family, widely distributed although rather rare in Europe, Iceland, Greenland, North America, Asia, Macaronesia, Faeroes, Africa, New Zeland, Oceania and Tierra del Fuego is here recorded for the first time for Croatia and the teritory of ex-Yugoslavia. It was found creeping on hummocks of Sphagnum capillifolium (Ehrh.) Hedw. and S. magellanicum Brid. in the central part of the mire Trstenik in NW Croatia.
