Problematika terenskih mjerenja radioaktivnosti
The paper presents cases of ambient dose equivalent rate (H*(10)/t) field measurements, radionuclide identification, and quantification of the identified radionuclides. The aim of this paper is to present the problems that occur during field measurements of radioactivity, such as device selection for a particular measurement, subtracting the background radiation for a particular location, the use of a collimator, etc. Field measurements require selecting the type and quantity of devices intended for use. One must be familiar with their construction, as well as possibilities. Regular calibrations are necessary, but as it has proven to be true, some devices also require calibration immediately prior to the measurement. Additional standardized procedures to ensure consistency across measurements and additional regulations would make the interpretation of results easier.
