Archaeobotanical finds from the burned house at Kalnik-Igrišče site

The paper presents the results of the archaeobotanical analysis of the abundant sample of charred plant macrofossil remains discovered in the archaeological excavations at Kalnik-Igrišče. The layers in which the sample was found date to the 9th cent. BC, and the remains of carbonized plants were found on the house floor in association with a large quantity of broken potsherds. The analysis showed that cereals predominate, followed by cultivated legumes. Useful wild plants were also documented.
