Modelling and analysis of two stroke low speed diesel engine
This paper explores the marine two-stroke low speed diesel engines characteristics. Marine diesel engine regulations have been established and parameters influencing exhaust emission have been defined. The simulation model of the marine two-stroke low speed diesel engine has been developed. Furthermore, the comparison of numerical and experimentally obtained data was performed. An analysis of the influential parameters on engine characteristics such as compression ratio, exhaust valve timing and fuel injection timing has been performed. The obtained results have been compared and conclusions have been drawn.
