The book "Mal de Meleda - The Mljet Disease" investigates the rare dermatological disease named after an island located in the vicinity of Dubrovnik. The book attempts to encompass all aspects of this disease, from historical facts and clinical features to the latest genetic research. Even though exceptionally rare, this disease is particularly tied not only to Mljet Island and the City of Dubrovnik, but also to the entire Dubrovnik and Croatian academic communities.
