Geodetic Works in the Renovation of the River Mura in Croatia

In order to renovate the existing coastal fortification of the right river bank of the river Mura in the place Miklavec in Croatia, the surveying has been performed to provide the basis for the renovation project. The importance of geodesy in designing and construction of hydrotechnical objects is highlighted. The applied surveying methods and adequate instruments are described. The geodetic layout of the surveyed area is presented with the overlap in digital orthophoto and transversal profiles.
