Performance of Textile Logarithmic Spiral Antenna in On-Body Environment

In this paper we propose logarithmic spiral antenna which is manufactured by embroidering conductive yarn into common denim fabric. The antenna is suitable for integration with energy harvesting circuit. The original one-turn spiral was modified to obtain better coverage in the UHF frequency range. The free space antenna characteristics are compared with the ones measured for various scenarios when the antenna is put onto human body.
