On the photosensitive behaviour oh the system Cu-CuCl-air : influence of temperature and impurities
Treating metallic copper in CuCl2 solultion a photosensitive layer on copper surface is formed. When exposed to the light a photocurrent of a certain mangitude is obtained. In previous experiments the influence of tempetature on photocurrent mangituge was ivestigated It eas stated that the limiting photocurrent increases with thwe incresing temperature. When switching off the light the photocurrent value drops almost to zero. Activation energy of the proposed photochemical reaction was found to be about 28 kJ. It was also found thaht the photoactive layer consists predominantly of <CuCl crystalss crystalilzing in a cubic latice.
