Croatian Diaspora Investments in Tourism Sector (results, lessons and prospects)

Comparing to other transition countries Croatia is characteristic with the great potencial of diaspora investments. Tourism sector is the most attractive sector for this source of foreign capital inflow. Results in past decade can not be underestimated but are far from expectations and possibilities. The total amount, flow and directions of diaspora investments stress general rules of capital`s engagement, but some specific motives and factors of making decisions about investing in Croatia, too. Results and lessons can be solid base for analysing prospects of diaspora investments in the future. Furthermore, regarding other cognitions there are specific aspects of importance of diaspora investments in Croatian Tourism.
