Catalytic screening of Cu-MCM-22 and Cu-MCM-36 catalysts in peroxidation of 4-(2- Hydroxyethyl)phenol
A series of Cu-MCM-22 and Cu-MCM-36 zeolite based catalysts with different Si/Al ratio was prepared by direct hydrothermal synthesis method The catalysts were characterized by XRD, N2 physisorption, Pyridine-TPD, TPD-CO2, SEM-EDAX and TEM Reaction was conducted in aqueous medium in a batch reactor under mild reaction conditions The best results were obtained for the Cu-MCM-36 catalysts with lower Al content Over 90 % conversion was achieved within 120 minutes of reaction at 333 K
