On the Formation of Degenerate Heavy Fermion Stars
The dynamical formation of a compact fermion star from a cold self-gravitating Fermi gas is described using an analogy with the interacting self-gravitating Bose condensate which has the same Thomas-Fermi limit. The dissipationless formation of the compact object by ejection of matter is demonstrated numerically. These fermion stars offer an alternative for the supermassive compact dark objects at the centers of galaxies.
